Souness names one Leicester man that ‘walks into Man Utd side’
Graeme Souness thinks Leicester City defender Jonny Evans would “walk” into Manchester United’s team this season.
Evans left Old Trafford in 2015 for West Brom after coming through the youth ranks at United to spend nine years in the senior team.
The Foxes snapped the Northern Irishman up for £3.5m in June 2018 after the Baggies were relegated to the Championship.
Evans has been a mainstay of Leicester’s side since arriving and has helped them up to third place in the Premier League this term.
Souness watched Leicester thrash Newcastle United 5-0 on Sunday and picked out Evans as someone that would “walk” into Man Utd’s side.
“Jonny Evans and [Caglar] Soyuncu will enjoy that midfield in front of them,” Souness told Sky Sports.
“He walks into the Manchester United team for me when you look at what United have at the back. He can make passes, senses danger.
“He’s all round a top class centre-half for me.”
