Eugenie, 28, is set to marry wine merchant Jack Brooksbank, 32, at Windsor Castle on Oct. 12, and we’re naturally super excited. I mean, the more royal weddings the merrier, no?
But before we go full royal watcher on this wedding, we have a couple questions … OK, we actually just have one: HOW DO YOU PRONOUNCE “EUGENIE”? We’ve honestly been adding a question mark to the end of her name for years now, and we need answers. Is it Eugene-y? Yeh-jen-ee? You-jay-nee? At long last (though the answer has been floating around the internet since 2008), we finally have a correct pronunciation, straight from the mouth of the princess herself.

In said 2008 interview, Eugenie told the Telegraph her name is akin to the phrase “Use Your Knees” — it’s YOO-juh-nee, with the emphasis on the first syllable.
