Backstage News On Possible Location for Impact Wrestling Redemption PPV
As we reported over the weekend, Impact Wrestling has decided to scrap reviving the Lockdown PPV in favor of debuting a new PPV, called Redemption, in April.
The event will mark Impact Wrestling’s return to PPV, and will take place on April 22nd. As for the Lockdown PPV, new creative management in Impact did not like the idea of an all-cage match show, so the event was nixed in favor of Redemption, which will likely be presented as more of a traditional wrestling PPV.

According to PWInsider.com, there was talk at the last set of TV tapings that Impact Wrestling Redemption could take place in Toronto, however according to John Pollock of PostWrestling.com, there is currently no deal in place for Impact to hold the event in Toronto.
PWInsider furthers that if Impact is unable to work out a deal for the event to take place in Toronto, the company is eyeing The Impact Zone in Orlando as a backup plan.
Impact Wrestling held only two live PPV events in 2017, with Bound for Glory taking place in November and Slammiversary taking place in July. Aside from Bound for Glory, Slammiversary and the pre-taped One Night Only PPV’s, Impact Wrestling has not held live PPV events since 2014, when the company aired both Sacrifice and Lockdown.
