As one of Australia’s most lauded actresses, it only makes sense that Cate Blanchett has a property portfolio to match her Hollywood status. And having owned homes everywhere from her native Sydney to East Sussex in the UK, it doesn’t exactly surprise us that the actress has a place in the Pacific, too.

As it turns out, Blanchett and her husband, playwright Andrew Upton, have spent many a happy summer at their private mansion in Vanuatu, which — as all good celebrity homes seem to have — is equipped with a private beach.

Located on the island of Efate in the popular holiday country, Blanchett’s home is currently for sale for a cool $3 million. Featuring plenty of light and airy spaces, the four-bedroom home is ideal for Blanchett’s six-person family.

Overlooking the stunning Undine Bay, the timber home features pavilions connecting two portions of the house and is complete with a massive balcony for eating and entertaining. Plus, with it’s own private water strip, the home is seriously a private oasis. For the family’s adventure days, the property is fitted with a boatshed and garage. Waterskiing? We wouldn’t put it past the Oscar-winner.

Blanchett and Upton purchased the house in 2011 during a trip to the region, but it seems their love of the island has since weaned, with the actress offloading it in favour of a UK-based manor, bought in 2018. Blanchett also recently sold her Hunter’s Hill home in Sydney for a cool $20 million — turning over almost $10 million in profit.
