Arsenal ‘to continue’ talks after seeing £25m bid rejected

Arsenal and Celtic will ‘continue’ discussions over Kieran Tierney after the latter rejected a £25m offer for the left-back.

It is thought that Arsenal will have to break two transfer records to land one of their priority signings this summer.

The Gunners retained an ‘optimism’ despite seeing their opening bid of £15m rejected last month.

But an improved offer of £25m for Tierney has also been knocked back, despite the deal becoming ‘inevitable’.

BBC Sport, who reported the bid, say the ‘instalments-based offer’ that was made on Friday has been turned down. Presumably because it was based on instalments.

They add that ‘talks are expected to continue between Celtic and Arsenal this week’ as both clubs seek a resolution over Tierney‘s future.
