Pundit hails ‘fantastic’ Everton star with ‘priceless’ attributes
Sky Sports pundit Rob Green has suggested that Jordan Pickford’s passing ability is a “fantastic attribute” for England.
Pickford joined Sunderland when he was just eight-years-old. After several loan spells away, he made his senior debut for the Black Cats in January 2016.
The Englishman became first-choice for Sunderland next season in the Premier League. He made 32 appearances and he was nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Season award.

Pickford’s form for Sunderland tempted Everton to sign him for £30m ahead of the 2017/18 campaign. He has made over 150 appearances for the club in three-plus years so far.
The goalkeeper has also spent the last couple of years as England’s number one. He has been capped 30 times since making his debut in 2017.
Speaking during Monday Night Football, as cited by The Focus, Green claimed that Pickford has “a lot” of positive attributes:
“You’re looking at someone who has this range of passing which allows England to be expansive. He has the confidence to take a touch and pick a pass. It’s a fantastic attribute.
“That’s something that Gareth Southgate finds priceless. Pickford’s got a lot of attributes. When he simplifies his goalkeeping, stays up tall and gets it right – he pulls off saves. He’s a fantastic goalkeeper.”
