Manchester United ‘prioritise’ £50m signing over any other

Manchester United ‘are prioritising’ the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka over any other deal this summer.

United have already completed one transfer in this window, with Daniel James arriving for £15m from Swansea.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have a ‘complete list’ of 18 targets that they are now working through, with Wan-Bissaka the priority.

The Manchester Evening News say United will try and conclude that deal ‘before they move onto other targets’.

Their source suggests that ‘a number of player representatives are in a ‘holding pattern” while United pursue the right-back, with Crystal Palace ‘unimpressed’ in negotiations thus far.

The Selhurst Park club have told United how much it will take to sign Wan-Bissaka, but the ‘situation is partly complicated’ by his inclusion in England’s squad for the Under-21 European Championship in Italy.

United will continue in their attempts to sign the player while the tournament runs on, and ‘are expected to move onto a midfield target’ after either Wan-Bissaka or an alternative, Thomas Meunier, is signed.
