Former agent of Messi names his next club after Man Utd links

The former agent of Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has claimed that he will join Inter Milan this summer despite links to Manchester United, Manchester City and the Premier League.

Both the Red Devils and neighbours City have been heavily linked with a potential move for Messi, who informed the Spanish giants that he wants to depart this summer.

Reports claim the six-time Ballon d’Or winner has a clause in his contract which, if activated, would allow him to walk away from Barcelona for free and this is likely to spark a scramble for the playmaker’s signature.

However, despite newspaper climbing over each other to find out who Messi’s next club will be, his former representative Josep Maria Minguella – who looked after his interests at the beginning of his time at the Camp Nou – reckons he has already chosen Inter Milan.

Minguella told Spanish radio station Cope: “For me, Messi already has a team: Inter. In Italy they pay less taxes for what could be, in fact, there is Cristiano Ronaldo. It is more difficult for me to see him in England no matter how much his friend Agüero and Guardiola are in City.

“Now in Italy they are trying to revitalize the world of football with great signings and with these advantages in the advertising contracts of the footballers.”
