Tyson Kidd Being Moved To Non Wrestling Role In WWE

It is being reported that Tyson Kidd is being moved into a nonwrestling role within the WWE. Kidd has not wrestled or been on camera since he was seriously injured in a match with Samoa Joe back in 2015 that required him to have extensive neck surgery.
Kidd suffered the injury in June of 2015. At the time he was in a tag team with Cesaro and managed by his real life wife Natalia. The night he was wrestling in a singles match against Samoa Joe in a dark match at a RAW TV taping. Something happened to Kidd after taking a Muscle Buster (Joe’s old finishing move( that left Kidd unable to move in the ring. He later revealed that he had 16 staples, four screws, and a rod inserted in his neck. Kidd himself said that only 5% of people survive the injury and of that, most end up quadriplegic. Kidd was still shown on the Totally Divas reality show up until the injury. Most speculated that he in-ring career was over, but Tyson himself never confirmed or denied it.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Kidd and where he ends up. He could take a role in an off-camera position as a writer or producer, or he could transition into an on-camera role as a commentator or interviewer position. It is possible he could take a trainer position in The Performance Center, but with his injury, it is unknown if he would be allowed to by the WWE or his doctors. He is also set to return to Totally Divas so he won’t be completely off camera no matter what he ends up transitioning into.
