WWE Raw ratings up for post-Survivor Series episode

Raw got a bump from coming the day after Survivor Series, doing its best numbers since football season started with an average of 3.06 million viewers last night.

As would be expected, the show did a strong first hour, but held up well in hour two. The third hour had the usual big drop, but it was still the most-watched third hour since August.

Raw was third for the night on cable, trailing the Seattle Seahawks vs. Atlanta Falcons football game on ESPN (10.76 million viewers) and Hannity on Fox News (3.14 million viewers).

Dancing with the Stars on ABC did 10.08 million viewers and The Voice did 9.15 million viewers last night.

The unusual thing was an 11 percent male 18-49 drop from hour two to three, since men usually stick with the show more than women in the third hour. The over 50 drop from our two to three was 15 percent. The drop was double digits in every demo except teenage boys.

The three hours were:

8 p.m. 3.24 million viewers
9 p.m. 3.19 million viewers
10 p.m. 2.79 million viewers

Here’s a chart from Paul Fontaine that looks at Raw ratings since the start of football season and how they compare to last year’s numbers:
