Clarification on Roman Reigns’ Return, Jericho Meets Triple H

July 10, 2020 0 By HearthstoneYarns

As announced earlier in the week, WWE Superstar Roman Reigns will be appearing on Monday Night Raw this week to address his health. Of course, Reigns has been off of WWE programming since he announced that he would have to battle leukemia again in October. However, the fact that he will be appearing on Raw this week while also having appearances lined up for him on Good Morning America has fans hoping for the best. Those hopes were even briefly confirmed when Reigns’ personal trainer posted a message on social media stating that he was helping prepare “The Big Dog” for his in-ring return. However, the trainer in question has just posted a new message clarifying what he meant by that statement.
Personal trainer Dave Gonyea have previously stated on Instagram that he was training with the former Universal Champion as he makes his in-ring return, however, fans should not expect to see Reigns return to action quite so soon. When responding to a fan in the comments on Instagram, Gonyea explained that Reigns is still “another few months” off from being able to compete again. Despite this Reigns will still be appearing on Raw this Monday night. As of right now, it is unclear what Reigns will say during the show, but there is still a chance that he could provide a positive update on the status of his leukemia fight. Dave Gonyea’s full and complete statement on the matter reads as follows:
“Nah man he’s still recovering. He won’t be in action for another few months… keep in mind what leukemia is… and that he has been in remission. This was a flair up that he needed treatment for. I was working out with him and he was definitely moving slow. It’s the PG era, they aren’t working cancer.”

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair will be appearing on Raw this week to celebrate his 70th birthday. Before that party takes place on television, a surprise party was held for Ric yesterday in Atlanta, Georgia. Several celebrities and names from the wrestling business were in attendance, and there was even a meeting between Triple H and Chris Jericho. During his time at the party, Jericho uploaded a photo of himself and “The Game” onto Instagram. Given that Jericho recently decided to start working for All Elite Wrestling in favor of WWE, it’s certainly interesting to see the former world champion still being friendly with such prominent members of the company. Jericho’s photo can be found down below:
