Tommaso Ciampa Undergoes Neck Surgery
It was previously reported that NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa sustained an injury that would require him to undergo neck surgery. Just recently, it was announced that Ciampa would undergo successful neck surgery in Birmingham, Alabama.
WWE has not yet announced an update on Ciampa’s status but it is being said that the typical recovery time for the injury that he sustained, which is an anterior cervical fusion, is about 3-6 months.
It was said that Ciampa is expected to drop The NXT Title at next Wednesday’s TV Tapings from Full Sail University. Those tapings were supposed to feature Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano taking on Aleister Black & Ricochet in a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Matchup. More information will be provided on Ciampa’s status once it is made available.
