Ferdinand pinpoints Pogba problem Man Utd must ‘iron out’
Rio Ferdinand has told Manchester United they must “iron out” Paul Pogba’s future so they Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can focus on rebuilding the squad.
Pogba has endlessly been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, admitting it would be “a dream” to join Real Madrid.

The midfielder has been injured for the vast majority of the season and his agent Mino Raiola has fueled transfer speculation at any given opportunity, claiming his client feels “at home” at his former club Juventus.
United legend Ferdinand feels the ongoing saga is holding Solskjaer’s rebuild back, and urged the club to hold talks with the World Cup winner.
“I think that is a conversation that needs to be happening between Man Utd and Pogba,” Ferdinand told BT Sport after United’s 3-0 FA Cup win over Derby County on Thursday.
“Does he want to stay or go? Does Ole want to keep him? Once that’s ironed out you can build your team.”
Solskjaer’s rebuild is already underway, with January signing Odio Ighalo scoring twice in United’s 3-0 FA Cup win over Derby County on Thursday.
Bruno Fernandes has also hit the ground running since joining from Sporting Lisbon, increasing hope of a late season push for Champions League qualification.
Robbie Savage believes United should keep Pogba to form a formidable midfield alongside Fernandes.
He told BT Sport: “Keep Pogba – I would – let’s say you’ve got McTominay and Bruno Fernandes.
“Sancho, Rashford and then Grealish as a 10 or Jimenez from Wolves .
“If you name that team, Champions League football dependent, if I was a Man Utd owner I would think that team challenges for the title.”
